Cats have a bad reputation for being ill-tempered. Their demeanour towards their humans are more of a tolerated existence. Part of their bad rap may be due to the contrasting behaviour of canines who cannot contain their excitement when they see their owner walk in through the door. Cat-behaviour expert at the University of Bristol in England and author of Cat Sense, John Bradshaw says cats behave the same way they do with humans as they do with other felines. Actions like rubbing around a person’s leg, grooming their person, putting their tails up, and simply sitting beside someone are things they do with other cats. Still, cats have feelings towards their owners and being apart from them causes them a lot of stress and affects the “quality of their mental lives and their health,” according to Bradshaw.Every day for the last year, the fur ball is fed by a family but leaves them to return to this area.
Instead, she visits her human’s grave daily. She also sleeps there.
“I thought she was homeless and tried to help but every time she wold keep returning to the same place,” says Prayitno.
“It’s very sad to see. It shows just how close animals are to their owners,” Prayitno reflects.
