It’s not everyday you find out you’re pregnant. As soon as you know you are carrying a life inside, you feel like you need to tell everyone from the mailman, the pharmacist, and even strangers. The best reveal though is the one that is for your husband or partner. Letting your other half know that you have created a life together is one of the most beautiful moments in a couple’s life. And yes you may feel like just shouting the news to him as soon as you see him or sending a text with clues until he figures it out, the message has to be loud and clear. Most importantly, it has to be memorable. When Bri Dow found out she was pregnant she knew she had to tell her husband Brandon in a special way. She enlisted the help of her wedding photographer Samantha Boos to reveal the big news.Bri knew this was her opportunity to surprise him.
Bri told Brandon they had won a photo session with their wedding photographer through a contest.
She gave the couple two chalkboards and chalk.
Bri went over the three word limit because she had something really important to tell Brandon.
Instead, Bri wrote on her board, “You’re going to be a daddy.”
“After he read the board it went from thoughtful, to excited, then lastly to tearful. He was overjoyed with the news and couldn’t wait to hug his wife,” says Boos.
“I knew I had to just keep my secret in so I wouldn’t ruin the surprise for him,” says Bri about keeping the news hush-hush.
“It was definitely worth the wait to see his reaction and could see that he was already in love with our baby,” explains Bri.
It’s fair to say that Bri and Brandon already know who is going to photograph their baby when its born. The baby is due in February.
