This world can be a pretty negative place sometimes. It seems that more and more people are looking out for just themselves, as opposed to working towards the greater good. But not this woman. This woman has spent many years caring for everyone around her without asking for anything in return. Keep reading to find out how this woman’s continuous acts of selflessness were finally paid back to her in the most surprising way.During her time with Hoover High School, she has served thousands of meals to the students and staff, but that’s not all she’s done.

“I feed the kids, I prepare the food, I talk to them, I stop them from fighting. They don’t cuss. They have to respect, and they call me ‘Aunt Debbie,'” Debra explained during an interview. Debra extends her kindness far beyond the lunch room, as well.

Unfortunately, the car that Debra was using to help all of these people was kind of falling apart. Everyone that knew Debra knew that her car was constantly giving her trouble, but she still loved her car no matter what. “I call her, Transformer. She is my 1976 Chevy Malibu,” she said.

So they teamed up with the community and with State Farm Insurance for the Recycled Rides program, who donated a 2014 Mazda 3 for Debra! Even the school auto body shop helped to make the car run like it was brand new! Debra was in for the surprise of her life.

“No one has ever done anything like this for me. I thought I was going to get my heaven in heaven. But I got a little piece of heaven right here,” she said during an interview.

Debra has spent a good portion of her life doing good for other people, and it finally came back to her. We’re glad to see that Debra got a new car, but what about her old car, Transformer? “I don’t know what I’m going to call you, but Transformer is going to be upset with you,” she jokingly said to her new car.
