James Wright Chanel sang glowing reviews after tasting Patti LaBelle’s sweet potato pie. Chanel bought a couple boxes of pies from his local store and posted a video of his tasting one. The hilarious clip starts with the Godmother of Soul’s fan declaring his love for her. He struggled opening the box but once he took his first bite, Chanel claims that you “will turn into Patti after eating,” the pastry. He is telling the truth as the entertainer can sing the high notes with zero difficulty. The funny clip has gone viral with over six million views in only a few days. The Grammy-Award winning singer, LaBelle has called Chanel and thanked him for his review. If Chanel can sing like he did after a couple of bites, I may need to buy boxes of the pies. Chanel might just be the next great singer or food critic or both.
