The OK Go band is notorious for making fun and original music videos, but its latest endeavour literally defies gravity. For its “Upside Down & Inside Out” single, the group filmed inside a plane’s cabin moving at zero-gravity. Damian Kulash, Tim Nordwind, Dan Konopka, and Andy “Rusty” Rossdid performed summersaults, threw laptops at each other, and played ball in a single take while flying over Russia. The airplane could only fly weightless for 27 seconds between five-minute intervals. The quartet trained for three weeks at ROSCOSMOS, the equivalent of NASA before taking to the skies. What makes this video so cool is that no green screen nor wires were used to create the amazing visuals. The band partnered up with Russian S7 Airlines for its parabolic maneuvers. The video has gone viral and has been viewed over 17 million times on OK Go’s Facebook page since its release today.
