Ali Alamedy is a miniaturist who spent nine months bringing to life a photography studio from the 1900’s. The Turkey based designer was inspired when he learned about Charles Miner, a successful photographer from Indiana in the late 1890’s and early 1900’s. Alamedy used hundreds of meters of wood to build more than 100 miniature pieces in 1:12 scale. The biggest challenge, however, came during the research stage when he realized the limited number of images available in addition to all of them being in white and black. Alamedy wanted to capture the spirit of the time.
