It’s tough being in a bad mood when you come face to face with the *Happy Rizzi House*. The fun, playful, and colourful cluster of buildings in Braunschweig, Germany has become a famous tourist attraction. Hearts, clouds, uneven shaped windows, and arms are just some of the things found on the exterior of the child-like property. This structure is the brainchild of the late pop artist James Rizzi. The New York native’s project was not welcomed by everyone in this neighbourhood when it was built in 2001. The older generation wanted to maintain the traditional European architecture. But after seeing the cartoon and jolly five-story Rizzi house, it was easy to change their mind.
