Male super models have a reason to worry. The newest heartthrob has rippling pecs and a hulking 400-pound frame that is making Japanese women swoon. This is not the latest celebrity or pop star but an 18-year-old silverback gorilla named Shabani, a resident of [Higashiyama Zoo and Botanical Gardens][1] in Nagoya since 2007. Yes, you read that right, a gorilla.
Shabani is so popular that his exhibit boasts over 100 visitors a day. He has even made a splash on social media with the hashtag #Ikemen translated from Japanese to “hot guy.” It seems Shabani has become accustomed to his legion of admirers as many have noted he flirts with visitors and gives them exactly what they came to see, his blue steel expression and smoldering dark brown eyes.
