If you’re one of those people who believes that everything is better if it’s pink and/or heart-shaped, you’re going to feel lightheaded once you see former screen siren Jayne Mansfield’s Sunset Boulevard mansion. In these images from a 1960 issue of LIFE Magazine, the starlet shows photographer Allan Grant around her 40-room “Pink Palace,” almost all of it covered from floor to ceiling in her favorite hue. There were floor to ceiling shag carpets (pink, of course), as well as heart-shaped bathtubs, fireplaces, and even a pool. It’s kind of amazing to see a residence that’s so on-theme and unapologetically pink. How would you feel about a bathroom like this?
