We all know what a jetpack is, but for the most part, our knowledge of them comes straight out of sci-fi and futuristic films. But now, there’s actually only one true jetpack in existence, and it just made it’s way around the skies of Manhattan. It was created by JetPack Aviation, a company that’s calling itself the maker of the world’s first and only true jetpack: A jet turbine-powered pack that’s strong enough to lift a person into the air. Other pseudo jetpacks of the past have been powered by rockets or steam– this one is actually fitted with real jets. It moves up to 100mph, and can climb up to 10,000 feet.
