“I feel like there’s kind of this pressure to maybe be better, because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying ‘Oh you only got there because of this,'” explains Jane.

At the time of the audition she was working as a waitress.

She gave birth to a son on February 26, 2010, named Jackson Riley Santana.

Carrey tweeted upon the arrival of the baby, “Jackson Riley Santana, My Grandson, Born today! This is what 7lbs.11oz. of California dynamite looks like!”

The musician got nervous while performing Creedence Clearwater Revival’s “Looking Out My Back Door.”

“I talked to my dad and he was kind of comforting. He said ‘I’ve been said no to a bunch of times’ and it worked out for him, so hopefully I have a shot,” says Jane.

“I’ve always wanted to be a mother and I’ve always wanted to do music, so to have the two together, it’s just awesome. It’s a dream come true,” explains Jane.

Despite her dad’s wealth and accusations of nepotism, Jane says she supports herself financially.
