This video, taken by kayaker Larry Plants, tells a story. This is a story about an early morning Sanctuary Cruises whale tour, just outside of the Moss Landing harbor in California. It’s a story of kayakers meeting up and paddling out to see the humpback whales swimming in the water. It’s a story about how humpback whales are extraordinarily huge and extraordinarily beautiful, and about how human beings will do just about anything to catch of glimpse of them, up close and personal. And moral of this story? You probably shouldn’t kayak next to a bunch of humpback whales.
