10 Beautiful Random Acts Of Kindness That Will Leave You Smiling. September 19, 2020

As an adult, you see the world in a different light. If you watch the news, you know that we’re surrounded by scandals, pain, and chaos. But humans are resilient and thankfully, they also have the ability to tell right from wrong. And every now and then, we stumble upon a random act of kindness that completely changes the way we look at things. A random stranger paying for your parking meter could leave you smiling from ear to ear for an entire week. But wait until you see what these incredible folks did, and how their random acts of kindness completely made these people’s day! When the woman noticed the note on her windshield, she quickly picked it up in order to read it. When she saw what was in it, she probably couldn’t believe what she was reading. “Saw your license plate was from South Carolina. Not sure if you evacuated from the storm, but just know Florida is praying for you and your state. When we had Irma we evacuated to Alabama and received a similar letter on our car because our Florida license plate, so I wanted to pass it on. I know how it feels to evacuate. God bless!”

Kwame Anderson and Jason Gaebel from St. Paul, Minnesota, were busy making their delivery rounds as usual, when they spotted a man who was barely holding on to the fence of a bridge. Anderson jumped out of the vehicle, and asked him what he was doing, and said, “If you’re thinking of jumping, you don’t have to jump.” The man answered, “You don’t know me, you don’t care. Why are you trying to save me?” To which Anderson replied that if he didn’t care, “I wouldn’t be here right now.” Somehow, he managed to keep the man entertained until the police arrived. “I thought about Denzel Washington when he’s acting as a cop in movies. I said, ‘well, I gotta keep this guy entertained somehow because if I wait for police, this thing may be over,'” Anderson recalled about that day. Anderson kept talking and the two men realized they had very similar upbringings. Once he felt like he had gained his trust, Anderson asked the man, “If you come down from there, do you want to get a drink with me and talk about what’s going on?” In an instant, he ran to the truck to grab a cold case of beers and offered him to grab a drink with him. He said, “I have a pack of Coors Light for you. Follow me.” Finally, the man made his way into a safer area across the bridge, but he wasn’t able to sip on a cold one just yet, as the paramedics needed to evaluate him at the hospital. But thankfully, the man was saved by the kindness of two strangers who ran into him right when he needed someone the most.

The Pole Creek and Bald Mountain fires in Utah destroyed everything in their reach, burning over 70,000 acres. Sadly, more than 6,000 people had to be evacuated from the homes. But just because they’ve been faced with such hardship, does not mean that the people in Utah forgot their manners. When firefighter Matthew Bills entered an evacuated home, he ran into this beautiful note and shared it on Facebook.

Gina Gibson’s house in Independence, Missouri, was falling into pieces. It was in desperate need of a ton of repairs, which Gibson simply couldn’t afford. Thanks to the help of 30 strangers from the local United Auto Workers Union, (UAW), this grandma’s house was saved from being condemned by the city. The kindness of these hard-working strangers paid off, and she couldn’t be happier. “I just need a place for the kids to go to Grandma’s. That’s important,” she told KMBC News.

A homeowner’s driveway had to be blocked by a team of paramedics who were assisting someone in need, but when they returned, they found a note that took them by surprise, “Thank you for blocking my driveway to save a life. Refreshments on me.” Instead of ranting and complaining over his driveway getting blocked, the stranger thanked them for saving someone’s life and doing such a fine job. The Welsh Ambulance Service felt their hardworking crews deserved such a lovely moral boost.

Here’s a story that will restore your faith in humanity! Grace Christian Academy teacher, William Wilkinson, made the world a better place when he decided to donate his kidney to sixth-grader, Kaden Koebcke. Wilkinson visited the kid’s home to let the family know he had found a perfect match for little Kaden. When the family asked who it was, he simply said, “Well, it’s me.” She then shared her praise for Wilkinson’s kind gift on Facebook and said, “I can’t come up with the words to describe how much we appreciate Will Wilkinson.”

The Hendricks County Animal Shelter in Danville, Indiana, posted a message on Facebook where they asked for donations of cat food since they were running out. Sadly, their post got zero responses, which was pretty uncanny, as typically, they get at least a few donations. But when their post was shared by IndyStar.com, a local news website, the Animal Shelter was flooded with donations from all over the United States, which goes to show the power of having a big audience on social media, huh? “It’s just so overwhelming,” said LaDonna Hughes, who’s the chief director of the Animal Shelter. “You don’t always see the best in people these days. It is so awesome to still see the good in people. This has been very emotional and the outpouring of support has been wonderful.”

Tasia Smith, who works at the Subway inside a Walmart store, felt she needed to step in when she noticed a salon refused to do a woman’s nails. Walmart’s nail salon, “Da Vi Nails” claims that the woman moved too much and didn’t want to service her. Unbeknownst to them, the woman in question suffers from cerebral palsy. That’s when a loving Walmart cashier stepped in and took care of the woman, and completely turned the situation around. Tasia Smith shared the story on Facebook, which left many praising the cashier and everyone who was there to save the day: “Today, this sweet girl went into Burton Wal-Mart’s nail salon, Da Vi nails, and they denied her service because she moves too much,” Smith wrote in a Facebook post. “Out of the kindness of the Walmart workers’ hearts they went and bought nail polish and came into my work to paint this sweet girl’s nails. They were so patient with her (which she did great, barely moved & was just so sweet)… Thank you to the Walmart workers for making this beautiful girl’s day!”

Talk about a selfless act! Heather Hobbs had promised her little ones that they’d finally get to go to a Pentatonix concert at Arkansas Music Pavilion when she realized someone made a horrible mistake. She had bought her tickets on Stub Hub, and as they were making their way towards the entrance, they were stopped and requested to get their electronic tickets validated and turned into paper tickets. That’s when the employees informed her that her tickets were valid for an event that would take place in Dallas Texas, on a totally different day. They had the option of buying new tickets right then and there, but they simply couldn’t afford it. After a few angry calls and tears from both the kids and their mother, they decided to leave. Suddenly, a woman walked up to them, asking what was going on. The second Hobbs shared her story, the woman and her friends decided to gift them their tickets as they claim it didn’t mean much to them as they had gotten the tickets on sale on Groupon. To say that this mom was beyond grateful is an understatement. She shared on her Facebook post, “I wish I would have asked their name or address to be able to repay them some way. As we sit here on the lawn at the concert, all the twins can think about are those people. There is STILL kindness in the world and I hope they know they made the night of a little boy and girl who were utterly heartbroken.”

Here’s a story that proves we don’t really know celebrities even though we stalk them on social media every other day. Therra Cathryn had recently received a Whole Foods gift card, which she was planning on spending on pizza with exotic toppings, hummus, other necessities, but most importantly, she needed food for her pets. Right as she was about to pay for everything, she realized that the gift card didn’t cover everything she had bought. The man in front of her offered to pay for everything, even though it amounted to $375 total. She started crying and thanking the kind stranger. They exchanged a few words, and he left.

Dumbfounded, she stared at her and said, “WHAT.” She went on to praise the rapper on Twitter, “Ludacris. This guy is awesome run amok. You know why? He was just doing something kind for a disheveled, harried stranger. Showing the love in his soul. Shining a light in the world. But there’s something else.”
