*Mad Max: Fury Road* is being touted by film critics as a feminist masterpiece, and by action-lovers as the most badass movie of the year. With all that action, there’s bound to be a ton of special effects at play. Now, thanks to FXGuide, you can see exactly where reality ends and Mad Max begins. These are original before and after shots of the film, taken from Warner Brothers. The movie was made with a combination of physical stunts and CGI. The special effects were used to enhance the scenes and add more visual interest to the landscape, especially considering the fact that the film was shot in Namibia (there actually aren’t any cliffs there). Check out the images below to see just how far fantasy bled into reality. Warning: If you haven’t seen the film, this is going to make you want to go immediately.
