People who have animals know that our furry friends aren’t just our pets. They are a part of our family and become like children to us. We would do anything to make sure that they are happy and healthy at all times. This story is about a man who stopped at nothing to make sure his dogs had the best play area he could imagine. He spent two years turning his backyard into a play haven that any animal would be lucky to have. He went above and beyond the normal treat-giving, and toy-buying, that most pet owners indulge in. I have to admit, I wouldn’t mind relaxing here, as well.Living at home in Pennsylvania with their human, Aaron Franks, they are living a life any dog would dream of. A life that would make any dog happy.
“I feed them, I water them and walk them every day. They get their exercise and stuff, but I guess at the end of the day I just felt like it wasn’t enough,” he said.
“I felt like this would be a good way to show my love for them,” Aaron explained. Aaron started putting his plans into action.
With almost any prior construction experience, Aaron wanted to turn his backyard into the perfect play place for his beloved dogs. He wasn’t entirely sure how it would turn out, but he jumped right in.
The top level is the deck. A nice place for the dogs to take a relaxing sunbath.
Here, they’re able to go inside the structure. They can enjoy a nice nap, or look out the windows to see what’s going on outside.
On the bottom-level, they can take a dip to cool off in the pool. There’s another room here, too, just in case they get tired of swimming.
Since he took up all of the backyard, Aaron created a special space for them to do their business. It even comes complete with a hand-made fire hydrant!
Aaron thought of that, too! He installed rope swings for them to play with.
“My two older dogs lay around and hang out. They’ve got some new views now where they can see over the fence,” said Aaron.
“For the two youngest, it’s like a romp room. They go down there jumping and playing around, swinging on the swings,” continued Aaron.
Aaron made it so his dogs can use it anytime. They truly are lucky pups!
“I’d like to say thank you to my wife for being patient and understanding,” Aaron posted on Facebook. Way to go Aaron, you did a fantastic job, and I’m sure your pups are very excited about their new backyard!
