Losing weight can be a huge challenge. Just ask Lexi and Danny Reed of Terre Haute, Indiana. The couple struggled with their weight for most of their lives, but all that was about to change. The two decided that they needed to shed some pounds for their own health. But the journey to losing a massive number of pounds can be disheartening sometimes. This is why the lovely couple decided to do this together, and what came next was one of the most inspiring couple weight loss stories that you’ve ever heard of. So, check out their story. It’s oh-so motivating! They wanted to ensure that they would lead a long, happy life, but in order to do that, they had to make a change with regards to their overall health. Of course, no one said dieting was easy, but they were willing to give it a shot.

They were over the way that they were used to living and wanted to change things up. It was in their best interest, and they were hoping to document the whole weight loss experience to show others that it was possible.

With perseverance and love, Lexi proved that anything is possible. She even held up her old bra to prove just how much she had accomplished. She physically went from a size 28 dress to a size 10. How cool is that?

Ironically, neither of them had any idea that what they were about to do was would have a major impact on people’s lives, or that they’d end up talking about their story on “Good Morning America,” and bringing hope to millions of those who struggle with their weight.

27-year-old Lexi told ABC News, “doing this as a couple has helped us in so many ways. On days when we were unmotivated, we pushed each other to go to the gym.” Clearly, doing this without each other’s support would have been so much tougher.

For Lexi and Danny, this was no joke. They had set up the Instagram account @fatgirlfedup, which documented both of their journeys to lose weight, and with thousands of followers, they really couldn’t afford to disappoint anyone.

Lexi admits that back when she was 486 pounds, she didn’t cook. So, they either ended up going out to eat, or they’d stock up on frozen pizza and frozen meals that weren’t healthy. But now they find meal-prepping more reliable than their previous meal choices.

After taking on the challenge to better their lives, they turned to physical fitness instead of food. Now the only therapy they need is the one they get when they work out at the gym, which has not only helped them changed their habits but control their food cravings too.

Several visits to the gym, as well as meal-prepping together helped, and so did setting goals for one another. In the end, they wound up losing 400 pounds collectively in only two short years. Now that’s incredible!

Not only have they learned how to cook their own healthy meals together, but they’ve also found that exercising, and looking after each other, has allowed them to feel closer, which is the magic that holds all marriages together.

For those days that you feel like lying in bed all day or on the couch watching TV, there’s a significant other like Danny, who’ll lift you up, and of course, you can return the favor on a day when he might be feeling a bit sluggish.

Lexi no longer feels like she’s “a prisoner in my own body and instead of just existing in my own life, I’m finally alive.” She even describes this massive change for the better as a lifesaving feeling that can’t be described.

For Lexi and Danny, the power to shed hundreds of pounds was about being able to lean on each other. And, according to celebrity fitness trainer Latreal Mitchell, “A workout partner is key. Accountability is everything.”

By being accountable for everything they did, from exercising to eating, Lexi managed to get down to182 pounds, and Danny now weighs 191 pounds. And both look great and so different from the people they once were.
