Bertie is a three-year-old tawny owl who was abandoned by her owner. Now he lives in a farmhouse with Pete Middleton , an organic farmer in Northumberland, England. Pete runs Trewitley Owl Trust, an owl and bird of prey sanctuary which looks after rescued owls and other birds. Bertie was found on the ground and had infected feet and spent the first two months of his life being cared for by the vets.
