The scenery and sound of waves has always had a calming effect on people. The imagery is beautiful and it’s quite relaxing to look at. American artist Phillip K. Smith decided to create a project where the waves are reflected instead of being “swallowed” for once. Smith is an artist who explores perceptions in all fields including light, color and space. With that said, he came to the conclusion that the beach was the best place to explore all of that. For his project, Smith installed approximately 250 mirrored posts on a coast in Laguna Beach, California.
