Owning a Pitbull is like playing Russian roulette. You just don’t know when something is going to go horribly wrong. Sure, you want a lovable four legged pet that can protect you and your loved ones, but you also want one that’s sane and won’t turn on you like what happened to this mother and her baby. Most dogs are very kid-friendly. So she had no reason to feel that her daughter was in any kind of danger. So imagine this mom’s horrific surprise when she discovered that her child had been mauled and left in a pile of blood and it was all her brother’s Pitbull’s fault.They’re nice and loving one minute but can turn on you in the blink of an eye.
She’d been attacked by one of her 30-year-old uncle’s two Pitbulls at his Fresno, California home.
She couldn’t have imagined that in those few minutes that she left her baby on the couch to go use the restroom, she’d lose her daughter forever.
But she shockingly realized that this was a a careless oversight when she heard the baby screaming.
One of them managed to get inside through the open window and then it bit little Susie.
So Suzie’s uncle ended up calling the paramedics to save his niece’s life. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do and the child died on the way to the hospital.
This incident serves as a grim reminder that you can’t leave a small child, especially one as young as this one unattended.
According to Fresno Police Department’s Sergeant Daniel Macias, the family will be investigated to ensure that there was no type of child endangerment or criminal activity that could have led to the child’s untimely death.
Although the other dog wasn’t involved in the attack, both of them were euthanized at the Central California Society for Prevention of Cruelty.
However, the Sergeant believes that the death of the 3-day-old was just a tragic accident, nothing more and nothing less.
