Recent footage has leaked of yet another child abuse case. And once again, it’s a babysitter who is doing the abuse. The babysitter was trying to feed a little girl when she was being uncooperative. She began hitting the girl in between each bite she took. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the worst of it. After the little girl finished her meal, she threw up everything she ate. What the babysitter did afterwards will make you angry.Unfortunately, a lot of child abuse cases have been rising and are quick to become viral on the Internet.
Nonetheless, the child abuse case we’re looking at today could be one of the worst child abuse cases you’ve ever seen.
In the footage, a woman is seen babysitting a little girl. The toddler is 18 months old. They are sitting on the couch and the woman is trying to feed the little girl.
You can tell by the way she was treating the little girl that she was having a hard time feeding her.
The video shows the babysitter repeatedly winding up and slapping the helpless girl in the face.
After being hit many times, the little girl suddenly threw up all the food that she ate.
The evil babysitter is seen pushing the baby hard enough for her to fall to the ground.
After pushing her to the ground, the babysitter then beats her with flashlight and even steps on the child.
The evil woman continues to spank the poor helpless child. Then she steps on her and kicks her several times.
How could anyone do this to another living being? It’s hard to believe this is really happening.
How angry would you be? What would you do? Could you remain calm?
The father of the child, Eric Kamanzi, had installed a camera in his home after noticing his baby was limping and had bruises.
After capturing the violence on video, the girl’s father reported the abuse to the police on November 13, 2014.
Jolly Tumuhiirwe, 22, asked the parents, court, and Ugandans for forgiveness. No one had any sympathy for her. The public was outraged after seeing the video.
“My dad in Kabale was very sick and yet my mom did not have any money. I asked my bosses for some money to send to my dad but they told me that I hadn’t made a month yet and my father was dying, so it kept on haunting me.” She holds a shirt up that has blood stains. She claimed the baby’s father beat her.
“That is the more reason I referred the anger to the baby but I’m sorry. But that madam (Arnella’s mom) is not easy. She used to say that I steal money from the clothes and Eric’s wallet, I eat the babies food…and yet I can’t eat the food, I’m not a baby, those were all lies, so, I was also not happy from my heart.”
“I feel guilty..ok when I was doing it I thought I was disciplining the baby because also the mother sometimes slaps her, I also saw from the mom. The torch I used was small and it’s not hard. I think, I will never do it again”
A Ugandan babysitter was sentenced to 4 years in jail for assaulting a toddler. 4 years is not enough!
“It’s not good at all even my fellow prisoners don’t want to associate with me, they want to beat me up. In fact they were saying that I should join them in their rooms, nobody likes me and I’m feeling bad I will never do it again, I ask the world to forgive me and also tell the bosses who have maids to treat them well.”
In front of the court, Tumuhirwe asked to be forgiven. The parents say they have forgiven Tumuhirwe for what she did. They had to in order to move on with their lives. “Carrying bitterness was not helping matters. We needed to let go and move on,” Kamanzi stated.
Chief Magistrate Lillian Buchan told Tumuhiirwe what she did was an “unjustifiable and inexcusable” crime. Let’s hope Jolly Tumuhirwe is never allowed near a child again.
“It is sad. I can’t describe how I feel. We shared the video on social media so that other parents can learn from it,” the baby’s mother stated. “By the grace of God, baby Arnella is fine. She got medication and recovered. She is well and God protected her, we are grateful.”
“Even after all this time, people still recognize her face and they come and sympathize with us. Some come saying sorry for what happened, others ask how she is and then there are those who just break down in front of her,” Mbabazi says. “I know it is out of sympathy but we are often reminded of the ordeal. There are even times Arnella asks us why people pity her a lot and we are forced to come up with all sorts of answers.”
Let this video be a reminder to us all that we can never totally trust just anyone to watch our children.
Babysitting toddlers and babies can be a difficult task as many challenging moments inevitably happen.
And even when hiring a sitter, the parents should make sure the babysitter has a professional background and lots of past experience with kids.
Who knows what this woman would have done to the victim in the future had she not been caught on camera!
