When hockey player Jordy Stallard scored a goal for the Hitmen at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Canada, a barrage of teddy bears hit the ice. In fact, the number of teddies tossed set a record: 28,815, more than one per person from the crowd of 19,289 fans. The stuffed animals will go to 50 local children’s charities this Christmas. It took 37 minutes for seven trucks and vans to collect them all, and after seeing the video below, you’ll understand why.
