This Is The World’s Most Unusual Beach Because It Doesn’t Have One Granule Of Sand.

This Is The World’s Most Unusual Beach Because It Doesn’t Have One Granule Of Sand. July 8, 2017

Imagine a perfect day at the beach: relaxing on a lounge chair under an umbrella or grabbing a refreshing beverage at a snack bar without any of the negative aspects like sand in your shorts, or sunburn. This is not an illusion but a place that really exists. Thanks to the brilliant minds at [Snarkitecture][1], visitors to the [National Building Museum][2] in Washington D.C. can experience the beach indoors from now until September 7th. Spanning across the museum’s Great Hall, the artists filled the 10,000 square feet with 750,000 recyclable translucent plastic balls. The enclosure contains mirrors to create an infinite ocean scene. Guests can bring their beach toys and inflatables and take a dive into the innovative creation. Once beach-goers have called it a day, they can jump out and carry on with their day. No need to towel off nor change clothes. [1]: http://www.snarkitecture.com/ [2]: http://www.nbm.org/
