Pero is a four-year-old working sheepdog who left from his home in Cockermouth, Wales in early April. He was one of 15 sheepdogs living at the Cockermouth farm, so he was given as a trial to another family in Cumbria, 240 miles away. Despite being well taken care of in his new digs, Pero decided that he missed home. He left the Cumbria farm and made his way back to his original home, much to his owner’s surprise. “It was amazing but we have no idea how he did it. He must have a [GPS] in his brain,” said owner Alan James.
