When we see images of homeless people in the media, they aren’t exactly flattering portrayals of humans who happen to find themselves in dire straights. The subjects usually look forlorn and unkempt, and sometimes, they even look slightly threatening. One photographer wanted to change that, and his photos remind us that homeless people deserve the same dignity and respect as any other subject. The photographer’s name is Aaron Draper, and he took these amazing, saturated, and gorgeous photos for his Underexposed series. Through this project, Draper hopes to shine a spotlight on those that live on the fringe – and portray them in a much more dignified light.
