Rep. Brian Sims showed no shame over the weekend as he live-streamed himself verbally abusing three young girls while they silently protested outside of a Planned Parenthood in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. While the Sims was attempting to intimidate the young girls, he received an entirely unexpected response: the planning of a large Pro-Life rally outside of the Planned Parenthood facility this Friday.
According to Matt Walsh, “The rally is planned for 11 AM on Friday at the Planned Parenthood on 1144 Locust St in Philly. A bunch of different pro-life groups reached out to me minutes after I sent that original tweet and this all came together quickly.” Walsh concluded his tweet by saying: “We invite @BrianSimsPA to come with his camera!” Walsh concluded.
What was initially supposed to be a small gathering to protest Sims’ behavior, has turned into quite a big event, drawing in prominent Pro-Life figures like Abby Johnson, Lila Rose, and Graham Allen. Walsh was prompted to organize the rally after Sims live-streamed his interaction with the teenage girls.
In Sims’ video, you can see Sims cross the street to ridicule the young girls as well as another woman by referring to them as “pseudo-Christians” that were responsible for “shaming young girls” who visit the facility. Sims then continued to dox the protesters by offering to donate money to Planned Parenthood on behalf of any user who would provide the girls’ names, social media information, or their addresses.
Sims said: “Here’s the deal. I’ve got $100 dollars for anybody who will identify any of these three, and I’m going to donate to Planned Parenthood,” Sims says. He then attacked the group by calling them nothing more than a “bunch of white,” hateful Christians.
Sims continued by saying: “Look, a bunch of white people, standing out front a Planned Parenthood and shaming people.” As Sims continued to shame the young girls, one of the teenagers said: “I’m pretty far from white.”
This wasn’t the first time that Sims has engaged in publicly shaming or doxxing pro-life protesters outside of the Planned Parenthood facility, which has, according to LifeNews.com, failed 13 of its last 23 inspections. In fact, just days earlier SIms harassed an elderly woman for praying silently outside of the facility.
In the video of Sims harassing the older woman, he can be seen following the woman around in an attempt to get a video of her face. He also made the suggestion once again that he would donate $100 to Planned Parenthood if someone would provide the woman’s private information. Since then, Sims has refused to back down. He has continued to refer to his Pro-Life enemies as “Bible Bullies” who have “fake morals.” In a Twitter response to the backlash he was receiving, Sims told them to “bring it.” Walsh quickly responded by saying: “Oh we’re bringing it.”
Matt Walsh, who is a writer for The Daily Wire, has recently stated on Twitter that this rally is more than just a response to “one jerk.” He explained that the rally serves as a reminder for Pro-Life Americans to stick together in an effort to stand up against bullies. “The lesson to be learned here is that you will not intimidate pro-lifers. We will not go away and be silent. If you harass or bully one of us, more will come,” Walsh wrote.
He continued by saying: “The rally at the Planned Parenthood in Philly isn’t just about the one jerk harassing pro-lifers at that location. It’s about taking a stand against anyone who tries to intimidate those who exercise their First Amendment rights. And it’s about standing for life, most importantly.”
