Cherry blossom trees are synonymous with Japan in the spring. When these trees bloom from late March to April, the country is covered in hues of bright pinks and purple. Photographer, Danilo Dungo has become an expert shooting the breathtaking arrival of these flowers. Dungo has used a drone over Inokashira Park in Tokyo, to capture an aerial view of hundreds of cherry blossom trees lined along the Inokashira lake. The park was a gift from the Emperor to his subjects in 1913. Locals traditionally take this time to have “hanami” picnics which is literally to have picnics to observe the bloom.
