JK Rowling Posted Her Rejection Letters On Twitter, And It’s Inspiring. March 28, 2018

JK Rowling is one of the most successful fiction writers of our time: *Harry Potter* isn’t just exceptional, it’s a beloved household name that will be cherished for years to come. In other words, Rowling didn’t just make a series of books — she actually made history. But it wasn’t all success and sunshine for the writer. Before her first *Harry Potter* was picked up by a publisher, she got very familiar with something all writers do: The rejection letter. Recently, she tweeted a few of them to inspire other writers not to give up. After all, if JK Rowling still went on to pen the most beloved children’s novels of a generation after *this much* rejection, anything is possible.

I wasn’t going to give up until every single publisher turned me down, but I often feared that would happen. https://t.co/bMKu4zJ3nm — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 25, 2016

I pinned my 1st rejection letter to my kitchen wall because it gave me something in common with all my fave writers! https://t.co/ZmGNWDdF7x — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 25, 2016

I had nothing to lose and sometimes that makes you brave enough to try. https://t.co/ETEk8lcih1 — J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) March 25, 2016
