At often times, people will bully others because they don’t understand the situation. This is especially true in younger environments, like students in a school. Eleven-year-old Jackson Johnson, for example, was ridiculed for shaving his head. Fellow students who passed by him would shout out loud “you look like a cancer patient.” Little do they know, Johnson shaved his head to support his grandpa Rick — someone who actually did have cancer. After hearing about all the cruel taunts that were going on, however, principal Tim Hadley decided to do something about the matter.

**The situation hit home for Principal Hadley, as he’s had more than one family member that also had to fight cancer. The assembly was so impactful that other students at Pekin Middle School also went bald to show support.
