When the waves from the sea hit the shores, its always a breathtaking experience. When that happens in Zadar, Croatia it literally creates music. The Sea organ is a structure overlooking the Adriatic Sea. It’s built-in cavities and 35 tubes create random harmony: the sea pushes air through with the waves size and speed creating the musical sounds. The Sea organ, which was opened to the public in 2005, is the first musical pipe instrument that is played by the sea. The structure was part of a project to rebuild the coastal front after the effects of WWII.
