That’s exactly how Faamai the elephant feels when her caretaker Sangduen “Lek” Chailert sings to her. As soon as Lek begins to sing, Faamai pulls her closer to her with her trunk. As the song continues the large animal lies on the floor ready for a cuddle at the Elephant Nature Park in Thailand. Faamai was born in the sanctuary in 2009 and is known for being curious and gentle. The ENP is home to more than 35 Asian elephants rescued from abuse. Lek has a soothing effect on Faamai.
