She Totally Nails This Song… But It Was VERY Hard For Her To Do It. April 1, 2023Leave a comment

This is Madison Tevlin. She’s a 12-year-old singer with Down’s Syndrome who’s voice is taking the world by storm. It’s been found that people with Down’s Syndrome must use **twice** the vocal energy to produce sound. Organizations such as Down’s Syndrome Education Institute and The National Down’s Syndrome Society provide insight as to why it’s physical challenge for them to carry a tune. The general idea is that people with Down’s Syndrome usually have a low-pitched voice and the developmental challenges that they face make singing very difficult to achieve. This seems to stack the odds against little Madison. But despite the challenges, she’s worked hard to train her voice with her vocal coach Marla Joy. What you’re about to see is a powerfully inspirational young girl who’s heart is too strong for limitations.
