What was supposed to be a leisurely ride for Nicole Graham and her daughter Paris turned into the scare of their lives. The pair were riding along the coast of Geelong, Australia when the soggy land gave way. Both horses were stuck in the quagmire. Nicole had to jump to her daughter’s rescue. She was able to get them to firm land, but by the time she returned to her horse, Astro, he was sinking. While her daughter called for help, Nicole held Astro’s head above water as the tide was coming in.
The vet said the horse may not have made it if Nicole had not stayed with him.
