Patrick feels like he is living out his dream. On March 18th of this year, he became the proud owner of a 1990 school bus. Big Blue was one of two buses used by a church in Long Beach, California. With the help of his dad, the shuttle was turned into a house on wheels. Before going driving through 30 states, the two men took off seats, removed the roof panels, and old insulation, all the while Patrick’s mom kept them fed and hydrated. Patrick calls this journey Skoolielove. The adventure has not only allowed him to travel over 10,000 miles, but it has also made him more conscious of clean living. “I ate a lot less meat. I stopped using plastic bags from grocery store purchases. Used less water and electricity than I would in a regular home.”

Headed into Nebraska a few days ago, beautiful sunset behind me. Before that though, I drove through a corner of Kansas, wasnt sure if id ever been in the state. Spent 3 days at a free campground in Aurora, Nebraska, two of which I didnt speak a word, and fasted. Ive never in my life done that. Very educational.
