For some people the sign of falling snow means running inside for warmth. For others, it is an opportunity to showcase their talent to their neighbors. The beloved snowman with three big snow balls, some pebbles and a carrot is left for beginners. It seems that there is no limit to what can be created with the white and cold powder. The creations are in abundance from Darth Vader, to a giant turtle and my personal favorite Snoopy. Others are not satisfied with the white snow and use color to give their final product a more original look like the yellow minions from Despicable Me or a blue shark. Many of these aficionados may want to consider taking their hobby one step further. A lot states across the country hold snow sculpting competitions. Just make sure you have plenty of hot chocolate to keep warm while working on your masterpiece.
