Samantha Dilberian had no idea the soldier who saved her brother’s life would become her future husband. Bryan Diberian and Staff Sergeant Christopher St. Onge were serving together in Afghanistan in July 2011, when an explosion struck them, killing a member of the unit and seriously wounding Bryan. Christopher stayed with Bryan, helped stop the bleeding and took him to the hospital. Bryan lost his left arm and both of his legs. “You don’t think about it at that exact moment, you’re just worried about getting everyone out of there, but as soon as you get back to base that’s when it sets in all your emotions come to you,” explains Christopher.
