You could say that Deanna and Benjamin Feist got married in a hurry, and there was a very good reason for that. Shortly after they said their “I Do’s” in their hometown of Brandon, Florida, they headed to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to avoid Hurricane Irma. But while this meant leaving their friends and loved ones behind to brace for the destructive storm, the newlyweds were determined to make the best of it and have a great honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains. Unfortunately, that just wasn’t meant to be when they ran into some car problems. Then, a savior came to their rescue and restored their faith in humanity. But their car had other ideas! Just as they made it into the parking lot, all the lights on the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree. So, Benjamin turned the car off, but when he tried to start it up again, it didn’t work, so he asked the man parked next to him to jump his car’s battery up, and the stranger was more than willing to help. He told Benjamin and Deanna that his name was Mo Tamadeoni, and he was the manager of the restaurant for 23 years, and then offered them a complimentary meal, which they were happy to accept.

The waitress handed them an envelope, which contained a letter from Mo, which picked the disheartened couple right up, and some cash, which he claimed was for a new battery for their car. At this point Deanna wanted to cry, because she didn’t believe there were any good people left in the world, but Mo proved her wrong. The letter read: You are probably here to escape the Hurricane Irma. My brother lives in Tallahassee, Fl. I am saddened to see such devastation in this beautiful state. I hope everything will turn out ok for you guys. Enclosed please accept my gift to you in case you need to buy a battery for your car. Also I am enclosing a meal ticket so you can come back to eat here. Good luck and Thanks for visiting my restaurant Mo Tamaddoni, General Manager. He also enclosed a meal ticket so they could come back to eat there in the future. Thankfully, the couple managed to have a great honeymoon, and made it back to their Florida apartment, where there was no damage, and everyone was safe and sound. Now, Deanna and her husband have sworn that they would find a way to pay Mo Tamadeoni’s generosity forward!
