Billy Wilson recently dropped out of Kansas State University and he did so with a very public rant on his Facebook account. He pointed out that the costs of a good education are too high and there is usually a huge amount of debt left behind. He also pointed out that the materials are wildly overpriced and he brought up a lot of other good points. The education system, without a doubt, has some flaws. It certainly does cost a lot of money and you have to wonder why some things cost so much. One example that Wilson pointed out was a six dollar text book costing nearly two hundred dollars. Things like that can be fixed but never are and probably never will be. Others brought up points about how and why they agreed or disagreed with Wilson. One woman said she built up a lot of debt and dropped out of college twice. She said she now has a good paying job as a cashier and she supports her son and pays back a little of her student loan debt. Someone should check into where that decent paying cashier’s job is. College students would never attend if that was possible to get. Others pointed out that college is a good learning tool if you use it right. Prepare for it ahead of time and you can actually get through with a good degree and no debt at all.
