After moving to Ankara, Turkey, one American family decided to spend their free time volunteering at a shelter. Unfortunately, Turkish shelters don’t have a huge amount of resources: That meant over 4,000 dogs, not enough food, and plenty of hardship for the animals. The family decided to bring home a particularly struggling litter of puppies, hoping to let them die in peace away from the shelter. All of the litter eventually passed — all except the smallest dog, Faith. Her story is heartbreaking, but luckily, there’s a happy ending. See how Faith beat unthinkable odds in the pictures and video below.
