In the movies, universities are stately, red brick buildings filled with leather bound books and curious intellectuals. For the most part, the stereotypes aren’t true — my university was more ugly seventies architecture and parking lots than classic Gothic spires and green courtyards. However, inspiration for the movies had to be drawn from somewhere — and likely from these, the most beautiful universities across the world.
