You might remember Bethany Hamilton, who made the news in 2003 after her arm was bitten off by a shark while surfing. Though her accident could have ended in tragedy, Hamilton turned her story into something inspiring: Despite the loss of her arm, she still became a professional surfer. In fact, she even wrote a book about her experiences, chronicling the challenges she faced after the attack. Now, Hamilton is 25 years old and still refuses to let anything stop her from catching a wave – even her adorable baby belly. Normally, pregnant women are encouraged to refrain from high intensity activities, but in Hamilton’s case, surfing is such a normal part of life that she wouldn’t dream of stopping.
