Here’s What Happened When Some Guy Ate Like The Rock For A Month. January 29, 2021

Mark Webster is a mild-mannered average guy living in New York City with his wife. He also has a young daughter, and he wanted to make sure he was still around by the time she grew up. There’s no greater joy for a dad than being able to see his little girl become the strong woman she’s meant to be. But to live to a ripe old age and see that happen, Webster knew he would have to go from scrawny to brawny. In order to achieve this, he decided to eat and work out like one of the fittest guys in Hollywood, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. But despite this massive tower of pancakes in front of him, The Rock sticks to a pretty strict diet and workout routine, which we’ll get into a little later. But could a New York startup founder in his late 30s follow in The Rock’s footsteps?

Like most of us, he started slacking off by the time he was in his 30s. But shortly before his daughter was born in 2014, he had a total meltdown. He was afraid for his life if he continued on this unhealthy path with no direction.

He looked at himself in the mirror when he was 35 and decided he needed to whip himself back into shape. But he knew it wouldn’t be easy. Fortunately, he had a role model to look up to who would become his fitness rock.

Now that he’s a Hollywood actor, he understands that staying in shape opens up more opportunities in his film career. Since his movies are usually action packed, he has to stay fit to meet the challenging demands of his roles. And Webster intended to adopt Johnson’s lifestyle, starting with his meals.

Using information from Johnson’s Instagram and interviews he had done, Webster designed his own workout and meal plan. It became obvious the eating cod was going to become a recurring theme for his seven daily meals each week.

But this Johnson regimen was the wakeup call his body needed. So, after Webster was done with his early morning workout at the gym, which started at 5:40 a.m., he’d have breakfast at the gym lobby which consisted of two hard-boiled eggs, two cups of oatmeal and 10 ounces of steamed cod.

Some meals contained 8 ounces of cod, 12 ounces of sweet potatoes, and 1 cup of veggies, while others replaced the sweet potato with 2 cups of white rice. 8 ounces of chicken was also included in one of his 7 daily meals for The Rock 30-day diet.

His gym training included working various muscle groups like the shoulders, arms, and legs. The work outs are intense, and you have to consume protein, too. But the high calorie intake wasn’t a problem because Webster exerted himself with his exercises.

The former wrestler took a snap of his morning alarm, which showed 4:09 am. But then again, you have to get up pretty early in the morning if you want to look like The Rock. But Webster managed to stick to the actor’s dietary and workout schedule like a boss.

He didn’t set out to end up looking as muscular as Johnson is. But he wanted to see results and clearly, he has. His torso is wider and flatter, and his abs and shoulders are certainly a lot more defined in the after pic than they are in the before pic.

Webster had no intention of keeping up the intense regimen. All he wanted was to change his body and see the results, and he has. But he won’t go back to his old habits either. He intends to eat healthier, increase his calories and do daily cardio to stay fit.

As soon as Johnson saw a Twitter post on ESPN about this seemingly average guy who wanted to diet like him, he went on the platform and praised him for all of his hard work. Who says imitation isn’t the best form of flattery?

Johnson admitted to eating cod in four out of seven meals. That’s over two pounds of cod per day for an entire year. But that’s okay because he’s rich and can afford it. But Webster had to spend $315 a week to keep this diet. No wonder he decided to make this diet temporary.

Although he hasn’t updated the blog since 2016, folks looking to follow in his footsteps will undoubtedly find it extremely beneficial. If they can keep up with the intense regimen, they’ll look as good as Webster and obviously, The Rock (duh!).

But of course, you should always check with your doctor first to make sure your ticker is working perfectly. And when you do decide to stop the diet, you have to do ease away from it. Going cold turkey on your diet is not recommended. Even The Rock wouldn’t do something this bold.
