Most people know that many of the world’s tulips come from the Netherlands, but lesser-known is the fact that the country is also one of the world’s top suppliers of dahlias. In the region of Zundert alone, there are over 81 acres of 600,000 dahlia bulbs, representing 50 different species of the flower. In 1936, the region began a parade to commemorate this, and they called it the Corso Zundert. The first parades were modest, but today, the Corso Zundert is a display of flowers, design, and artistic ingenuity that is totally unparalleled.
