It’s a tradition that has remained unchanged for hundreds of years: harvesting red honey. The Gurung men of Nepal begin their journey up the Himalayan mountains with prayers and offer fruit, flowers, and rice to the gods. This is to bless the journey they are to embark upon, climbing high up the mountain with only rope ladders and bamboo poles.
