Synchronized skating captures the essence of teamwork. Timing and precision are at the core for the eight to 20 skaters who perform like ballet dancers on ice. Each move has to be meticulously timed and executed with mastery. For the 2015 ISU World Synchronized Skating Championship in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, the team from the host nation put a spin on its program. The Canadian team performed to the country song, “MUD” by The Road Hammers. The choice of genre proved to be perfect for the 16 athletes as they won the gold medal for their fast and fun routine.
