For most of us, charging our phones is as simple as finding our cords and plugging it into the wall. However, in other parts of the world, particularly those with no electricity, it’s not quite so easy. In Malawi, for example, people have come up with a particularly creative way to charge their devices — and it all starts with mud. In the video below, Malawians show you how they take their thermo-electric mud-based device charging stations from start to finish, and it’s pretty amazing how effective they are.
