Ten years ago in Ecuador, a carpenter on a break saw a garbage bag moving in a dumpster. After having a closer look, he found a baby boy with Down syndrome in it. The baby was named Eddie and was placed in an orphanage for children with special needs. A few months later Rachel and her husband Jim Van Eerden were on a mission trip to Ecuador with two of their ten children. On their last night in the country they took a tour of that orphanage.
