A 100-year-old church in the Spanish municipality of Ilanera, Asturias, has been undergoing an extraordinary renovation. The church of Santa Barbara was originally built in 1912 and designed by architect Manuel del Busto, but has recently been abandoned. A collective called the ‘Church Brigade’ enlisted the support of backers through crowdfunding and collaborated with Redbull to transform the neglected building into the now Kaos Temple indoor skate park and gallery. According to designboom, artist Okuda San Miguel began painting vibrant murals onto the vaulted ceilings and walls in December 2015. San Miguel, a multidisciplinary artist based in Madrid, is well-known for his colorful, geometric artwork. **Take a look at the transformation of art history below:**
