They Walked Onto A Frozen Lake And Started Drumming… The Sound Is Magical.

We know that ice is cold, incredibly solid, and in some parts of the world, can last all year round. What we didn’t know, however, is that ice can be used as an incredible substitute for the drum: As long as you have the right musicians around who know how to find the beat. In the video below, a group of people visit the oldest and deepest lake in Siberia, Lake Baikal. The ice formed over the ancient lake is incredibly smooth and clear (it almost looks like crystal), but what’s most amazing about it is the sound it produces. Watching this video, it’s hard to believe that those notes are being created by nothing but frozen water — and a little bit of magic from Mother Nature, of course.
