Young love is often stereotyped as being immature, silly, and over-the-top. We get it: Teenagers can tend to be a little dramatic, and it’s hard to take a young person too seriously when they’re changing up girlfriends and boyfriends in-between homeroom and history class. But these little lovebirds aren’t teenagers — they’re not even in middle school — and their relationship is so sweet and natural, it puts many adult relationships to shame. Their names are Cole and Sherri, and their adorable relationship has been going on for some time now. They aren’t ashamed about it, either: Both of them readily admit that the other is their girlfriend/boyfriend, and at just 10 years old, it’s almost like they have found the perfect partner-in-crime, long before many of us ever hope to. What happened when Sherri got injured only solidified their relationship — you’re going to be smiling from ear-to-ear when you read Cole’s “get well” note to his favorite girl.

The letter reads: Dear Sherri, I’m so sorry that you broke your knee. I will miss watching you play soccer and I’m sorry that you won’t be able to play softball for a while. But I know you will heal quickly, and I will get to watch you play again soon. Although you can’t play sports, you still make my day when I get to see your beautiful smile. God has a plan for all of us and sometimes it’s hard for us to understand why thing[s] happen to us. My dad tells me that God only allows things to happen that He knows we can handle. You are a pretty, nice, funny, and strong girl that is also a good friend. You will get through this quickly. Please let me know how I can help during your recovery. I hope you recover fast and get well soon. Your friend, Cole
