Two years ago, a man named David and three of his children perished in a tragic house fire, a fire set senselessly by an arsonist. First responders found everyone in the house after it was too late to save them — except for Sayfre, a five year old who was wrapped in a blanket in her father’s arms. Safyre was burned over 75% of her body, and had to have her arm and leg amputated as the result of her injuries. Images of this brave little girl from her hospital bed are incredibly grim, depicting a scene that no child should have to go through. However, her spirit is still very much intact, and all Safyre wants for Christmas are your kind words.
